Affenpinscher:
The Affenpinscher weighs to about 2 to 4 kgs is is of about 24 to 30 cms in height. It has a harsh rough coat for the body and a monkey like smile. It name is thus derive from the German word affe which means monkey. The coat becomes shaggier over the head which forms a mane in the front. The coat is shorter at the hind and at the rear quarters. The coat in texture is harsh and wiry. Although the standard is that the coat must be black, the Affenpinscher is also available in colors of silver, grey, red and tan. Even as such black is still preferred as a color of acceptance.
The Affenpinscher has a distinct appearance that can be associated with the terriers. They can also be called terriers in different forms. They can be active and adventurous and also a little curious but they are also very stubborn. But these dogs are overall playful and fun loving. Towards the family members this breed can be confident lively and affectionate and also very protective. The dog is very loyal and enjoys spending time with its family. This dog can easily become bored so if any training is imparted then it should be varied regularly.
