Airedale terrier:

The Airedale terrier originates from Yorkshire. It is dog of the terrier breed. These dogs weigh to about 23 to 32 pounds .They are also commonly know as the water side terrier. They were originally bred to hunt otters. Owing to their size and functionality, these dogs are often called the king of terriers. Like common to many terriers, this breed also has a broken coat that hard and has a wiry top coat and a soft fur like under coat. Because of this coat the terriers do not significantly shed. The color of the coat I commonly black saddle with tanned ears and feet. The tail for these dogs is usually docked and the mouth form a scissors bite. These dogs possess the largest of the teeth among the terriers and they can inflict a very strong bite. These dogs can be used as working dogs. They are also excellent hunters and retrievers. They can be good herders as well as they show some propensity to chase animals. These dogs have no problem in working with cattle and live stock. How ever, if the terrier is not well trained then they will agitate or annoy the animals. These dogs are very strong willed and form formidable opponents while fighting.
