Border terrier:
As the name suggests they are a breed that belong to the terrier group. They may be mainly known for the care their hair or coat demands. They have two layers of coats. Outer layer is all wiry and rough but whereas the undercoat is very soft. They are normally bred in colors such as blue and tan or reddish grizzle and sometimes wheaten.
The outer coat needs regular stripping by hand since they are vulnerable to becoming long, shaggy and finally die. However clipping of Border terrier’s coat in the back area is strictly not advisable since it may become curly and never again return to its normal state again. Other problems like skin infection will eventually follow. Border terriers are intelligent, smart and playful dogs. They make very good pets and they are especially friendly with children. When dealing with a border terrier the relationship with its owner is most important. They will do anything to please their masters. This makes them highly trainable dogs. A border terrier needs to be trained with loads of love, heart is the keyword. They also have very acute sense of hearing and combined with its intelligence it is used by deaf people and elderly homes.
