The Brittany is a breed of gun dog. The Brittany is primarily bred for bird hunting. The Brittany has its origin in Spain. But it is believed that it was actually developed in a city named Brittany in France.The Brittany ought to be sporty, solid, and firmly built devoid of being heavy. It is long-legged and graceful. It should have an intelligent look and should always be alert and vigorous. But at the same time it should not be heavily built or bulky. Its way of walking is flexible, long.A few Brittanys are naturally born with small tails. But others are born with long tails. The most familiar color prototype for Brittanys is white. This white may have orange patches adorning it. Additional accepted colors are liver and white, black and white. Sometimes they are available in liver tri-color and black tri-color also. some of these color mixture can be obtained in a lucid or roan outline with a little ticking. The American Kennel Club and Canadian Kennel Club do not qualify black as a tolerable color for the breed, save for in all other international registries. The coat is of reasonable length, thick, even, or curly. It has minor feathering on the ears and legs.
