Bullmastiff:
Bullmastiff was bred to track, find and immobilize poachers. However in due course of time it has found use as a good family pet. It is famous because it is very powerful and has great strength. It is a combination of Mastiff and Bulldog, very sound and active. they are about twenty three to twenty five inches tall(till its shoulder) and weigh approximately fifty to sixty kilos. It is very loyal to its master and the ones it is familiar with. Combined with the quality of being calm, friendly and courageous it makes a very good pet. It has a strong defensive nature and tends to protect its owner from anything it perceives as a danger. It simply topples the offender with its huge size and stands over them rather than attacking. They are the very attachable types especially with families. Extensive socialization when the bullmastiffs are young is compulsory owing to its huge muscular built. They get along very well with children. They are most prone to hereditary diseases i.e. Hip dysplasia and Elbow dysplasia and Entropion. Overall they are attractive because of their physical appearance. This along with heavy speed and endurance make them excellent guard dogs.
