Carin Terrier:
The carin terrier is of the terrier category of the breed of dogs. These terriers are one of the oldest terriers available. These dogs originated in the Scottish highlands. These dogs are credited to be one of Scotland’s earliest working dogs. These dogs were used in the early days to hunt for burrowing prey.The carin terrier stands between 9 to 13 inches in height and weigh about 6 to 8 kgs. The cairns found in Europe tend to be larger than the cairns found in America. The coat of these dogs is hard and is weather resistant. They can be of different colors such as cream, wheaten, red, sandy and gray. The carin terriers are highly intelligent and are strong. They are also very loyal to their masters. They are very strong willed and they love to dig out their burrowing prey. These dogs have a strong prey instinct and require most comprehensive training. These dogs are intelligent and alos very willful and very easily be trained. When proper training is provided these dogs will not be disobedient. These dogs live a long life of 15 years and like to be active and working. They are seldom found to sit around lazily and do not often make good lap dogs. They are more suited as working dogs.
