Pembroke Welsh Corgi:
The name for this dog is derived from the place where it originates from. Though it is believed that they are descend of Swedish vallhund. Cor gi may also be translated as dwarf dog due to its size which is about ten or twelve inches to its shoulder and weighs about fifteen kilos. It is a herding dog and the smallest of the kind. It comes in various colors but the most famous of it would be the tri color formations like black head tri and red head tri. They have short legs and stocky body but this does stop them from being very athletic. They are also well known for their extreme intelligence and activeness which makes very good trainable dogs but the disadvantage is that they will not respond to commands when something else interesting enough attracts their attention. Herding of sheep and cows by nipping their heels is the kind of situations these dogs are mainly used since it can easily roll away from a cows kick due to its small size. But nowadays they are kept as pets. They can be very friendly with children mare than adults. They have huge appetite for food and become over weight easily.
