The American Eskimo dog:

The American Eskimo dog is also known as the German Spitz. These are generally companion dogs and are bread in Germany Despite the appearance or the name these dogs are not bread in Alaska. They are a member of the spitz family of dogs that come from Germany. The American Eskimo dog is generally used as a companion dog. These dogs are also used as watch dogs and also as circus performers. The first dog to walk a tight rope was the American Eskimo dog. This breed of dog is very popular in the United States of America. These dogs are generally white or biscuit cream in color. They generally have brown eyes but some may also possess blue eyes. They posses a compact body .The length of the dog is only slightly greater than the height of the dog. The ears of the dog are erect and the tail is feathery and loosely curled. These dogs make lovely companion dogs and project a picture of strength and agility. They also are very alert and very beautiful in appearance. Their coat is thinker and longer around the neck and chest forming a lion like ruff. The richly plumed tail is carried loosely on it back.
